PREP SCHOOL CURRICULUM

FUTURE READY

Our Prep immersive curriculum gives learning purpose, combining a core of academic excellence alongside skills-based learning that will prepare the children for the rapidly changing world they are entering.

As a through school, our Prep children continue to benefit from lessons in Computing, Music, Drama, Modern Languages and PE from Senior School Specialist teachers and also begin to participate in enrichment activities and extra-curricular clubs with senior school pupils to provide them with opportunities to broaden their knowledge.

With all these opportunities, allied to cutting edge digital literacy thanks to our 1-2-1 devices, it is no coincidence that our children exceed national expectations across all year groups and in Year 6 regularly gain excellent results in the 11+ examinations or scholarships into our Senior School.

Building upon the foundation built in our Nursery and Pre-Prep, we stretch and challenge our pupils across a broad range of subjects to ensure that your child is prepared for Senior School.

By providing practical, hands-on real life experiences, children gradually become more curious and active in their own learning – solving problems, developing communication skills with their peers and cultivating sustained shared thinking.

11+ Examination and Scholarship Preparation

READY TO EXCEL

Stretch and challenge opportunities, the extra-curricular Aspire Higher and 11 plus ‘boost’ preparation classes are all offered to help prepare those pupils who wish to sit the entrance exams into local Essex Grammar Schools and the Assessments for our Scholarship applications into our Senior School.
