The fees above are for the Spring and Summer terms 2024/25. The tuition fees are inclusive of VAT which is effective from 1st January 2025. Lunch fees are exempt from VAT.
The annual fee is split into 3 termly instalments for your convenience.
- Discounts are available for siblings.
- All fees include tuition, 1-2-1 devices from Year 3, most after school clubs, stationery, textbooks and craft materials. Fees also include a hot healthy luncheon comprising a choice of vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals for pupils from Reception to Year 8, including a serving of hot or cold dessert along with a nutritious salad.
- Year 9 to 11 need to make their own provision for lunch. Hot and cold food is available to purchase at break and lunch time from Wellesley’s Café, such as paninis, toasted sandwiches and other delicious home cooked items.
- External examinations fees will be invoiced separately.

At Colchester Prep & High School we believe it is important for children to want to be here. That is why we regularly invite parents and children to visit our school.
Before and after school care
WE OFFER A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM
This allow parents and carers a flexible choice for drop off and collection. This is a pay-as-you-go service.
All Breakfast Club and After School Club sessions can be pre-booked on Cognita Connect and are payable in advance. Please contact admissions@colchesterhighschool.co.uk for additional information and fees on this service.
School holidays
EARLY YEARS HOLIDAY PROVISION
During the school holidays, our Early Years department continues to offer the highest standards of care to our Nursery and Reception children.

REGISTRATION & DISCOUNTS
REGISTRATION AND ACCEPTANCE FEES
A £125 non-refundable registration fee is required to register for a place at the school and a £400 deposit is required upon acceptance of a place.
INTERNATIONAL PUPIL FEES
Key information
To secure a place, a £6,000 deposit is required. This is refundable when your child leaves school.
Students are required to pay a £2,000 English language support (EAL) fee per annum in addition to their tuition fees.
International students will be asked to pay the full year of tuition fees upfront.
WE WELCOME INTERNATIONAL PUPILS TO OUR SCHOOL
International pupils who receive an offer to study at Colchester Prep & High School will be asked to accept their place by completing and returning an acceptance form and paying a deposit equal to one term’s fees.
The international deposit will be returned at the end of a pupil’s time at the school, providing appropriate notice has been given and all fees have been settled.
